Hailing from rural Ohio, Mariah Ellen is a photographer and video artist residing in Columbus, Ohio and operates under the name Celestifox or Celestifox Photography. She specializes in ‘person-centered’ work and finds joy in blending the conventional with the magical. From editorial to fashion to cosplay, she aims to create both a work space and finished product that boosts the feelings of confidence and power of the subject. Mariah finds a lot of inspiration in traditional art throughout the ages and her love for art history constantly influences her styling, composition, and editing practices (as well as her home decor!). Her background as a freelancer of 7 years and a 2017 graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design has made her both the type of artist who ‘goes with the flow’ when it comes to an evolving shoot or concept, and also a disciplined ‘do-er’ that won’t stop until she’s successfully captured what she set out to.

Currently Mariah is working in Columbus in audio/video and travelling across the country to take pictures of superheros and magical girls with one hand holding the camera and the other clutching onto a tea/coffee.
